Earlier in his professional work, Chuck developed general management skills at three industry-leading firms: The Procter & Gamble Company, The Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery, and LensCrafters Corporation. As a student at Harvard University, Chuck pioneered the school’s organizational development curriculum.
Chuck uncovered a consistent set of spiritual struggles faced by working Christians, and a compelling set of spiritual solutions straight from God’s word. Collectively, these insights formed the framework for At Work on Purpose, a ministry Chuck founded in 2003 that has grown rapidly to have a global reach.
An international speaker and teacher, Chuck has been quoted, interviewed, profiled and published in print and digital media, radio and television, across the U.S. and overseas. He is the author of Citywide Marketplace Ministry in a Box, and co-author of BIZNISTRY: Transforming Lives Through Enterprise.
Chuck runs a consultancy called SKILLSOURCE. He recognized the ministry opportunity in its services, and focused the firm on developing people through strong corporate leadership, healthy organizational culture, and winning marketplace strategy. SKILLSOURCE has developed a national client base, flourishing as a creative aspect of Chuck’s ministry to client organizations of all spiritual orientations.
Chuck also serves as an Executive Board Member for Self Sustaining Enterprises. This innovative organization launches sustainable marketplace initiatives through spiritual entrepreneurs, who harness the marketplace to meet felt needs and win our world for Christ.
He holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do under U.S. Olympic Coach Hong Kong Kim. Chuck and his wife Jeryl are the proud parents of two children adopted from South Korea.
